This 1981 tract home is owned by an active retired couple, who love to entertain friends and family and enjoy both food and fine wine.

They decided to prepare for a time when they could no longer use the stairs and wanted a single story environment to accommodate their needs as they aged. This required them to completely to remodel the first floor as their living space preserving only the upper story bedrooms for when their children and grandchildren visit.

By filling in the existing pool this allowed us to push the back of the house out for needed space. We opened up the ceiling to the upper story that once housed the master bedroom and lined the resulting high ceiling with wood in the newly created “great room.” The high ceiling allowed us to construct a towering Pennsylvania Bluestone fireplace. We finished the floor with a mixture of Bluestone and wood. We also created a large professional kitchen, a wine service bar, and a luxurious bath retreat. We removed the back metal fence and paved the patio also with Bluestone and designed a woodland garden for the sake of complimenting the shared view of the golf course.

The result consists of a wonderful atmosphere of a garden and living environment for all to enjoy.
